We had the pleasure of staying in the Lindner Prague Castle Hotel thats nestled high on a hill overlooking Prague. The hotel, tastefully fused with modern and medieval influences, is located on the Strahov Monastery grounds (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). The monastery has a brewery/restaurant with great goulash bread bowls and beer brewed on site. The location couldn’t be more ideal with cafes lining the cobblestone roads along with vineyards and spectacular views around every corner. The continental breakfast at Lindner was exceptional with Czech pastries, cheeses and fruit along with your traditional English breakfast with baked beans. Also, who knew the coffee was so good in Czech Republic? Another plus is the work out facilities, complete with a sauna and tennis courts on the property. Our room was so comfortable and we loved being on the quieter end of town. We couldn’t thank the staff enough for their warm welcome and eagerness to help. We enjoyed a relaxing breakfast one morning in the courtyard surrounded by ivy walls and the absence of honking car horns and bustling tourists. The wifi can be reached perfectly from the rooms (a big plus if you’re traveling like us without cell phone plans!) We would highly recommend staying here when visiting Prague if you like gorgeous views, comfy rooms, and a warm inviting place to take a break after a long day of site seeing.
